STS Collision Avoidance
Large cranes are typically made of very heavy-duty material that is in close proximity to one another.
Collision among the cranes would require costly repairs and replacements. In order to prevent these collisions from happening, a solution is needed that can detect the cranes and warn operators of impending danger.
Banner Engineering's Q12R radar sensor features a narrow beam and high sensitivy for detecting moving or stationary targets up to 40+ meters away.
YOUR BENEFITS
- Dual detection zones for warning and stop.
- Reliable radar detection in all weather conditions.
- Cost-effective solution to protect expensive equipment and cargo.
Narrow beam, long-nosed radar sensors are ideal in an environment where large cranes operate with dual detection zones to activate stop or warning signals. With an adjustable sensing range up to 24 m and two independent adjustable sensing zones, the sensor is easily configured for many applications.
Not only is radar technology a cost-effective way to protect expensive equipment and cargo, it is also immune to wind, rain, fog, light, humidity or air temperatures.
